Kevin joined Mainland in April of 2017. He is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with designation in BC, AB, SK, and MB. Kevin has spent the past 21 years in the construction materials industry, working in a variety of roles throughout Western Canada for the LafargeHolcim Group. Kevin is a safety focused senior manager with extensive experience in construction and construction materials, aggregate production, mine development, construction projects, customer relations, safety, environmental stewardship, and human resources.
Stephen P. Hardy
Role: Chief Financial Officer

Stephen joined Mainland in June 2015. He is a chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) in British Columbia. He joined Mainland from PFB Corporation, a publicly-traded manufacturing company where he spent 15 years as Chief Financial Officer. Steve has extensive management experience obtained in a variety of different industries, and he leads the financial management and accounting activities at Mainland.
Jeff Davis
Role: Sales Manager

Jeff has been with Mainland, since 1999, serving in a variety of roles. Jeff holds a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering from BCIT, and he was appointed Sales Manager in 2010. Jeff’s role at Mainland includes leading the company’s sales and marketing activities, overseeing the sales representatives, depot operations, dispatch operations, logistics planning, and marine transportation activities.
Gerrod McAuley

Gerrod has been with Mainland since 2007. Prior to joining the Mainland team, Gerrod accumulated 10-plus years of experience in the aggregates industry, specifically crushing and processing rock. In 2014, Gerrod was appointed Mine Manager at Jamieson Quarry where he successfully managed the transition from a contract crushing operation to in-house manufacturing. In 2016, Gerrod was appointed Mine Manager at Cox Station Quarry, Mainland’s largest quarry. Gerrod has extensive aggregates processing experience with expertise in all aspects of the processing cycle including: drilling, blasting, loading & hauling, crushing, screening, and pit development.
Dani C. Miller
Role: Safety & Technical Compliance Manager

Dani joined Mainland in 2012. Dani has acquired experience as both an environmental regulator and as a private technologist working in the sand, gravel and, ready mix industry. Dani’s role at Mainland includes managing the company’s occupational health and safety programs, quality control processes, and its sustainability reporting. Additionally, Dani is responsible for ensuring that Mainland’s operations are fully compliant with environmental, industry, and municipality requirements.
Colin Herbert
Role: Equipment Repairs & Maintenance Manager

Colin started his career with Mainland Sand & Gravel in 1996 at Cox Station Quarry. In 2006, Colin was appointed the maintenance foreman for Cox Station Quarry. In 2014, Colin was appointed the Equipment Repairs and Maintenance Manager for Mainland. Colin’s primary areas of responsibility are the management of the company’s fleet of equipment, implementing industry best practices, and ensuring all aspects of maintenance are well supported within the company.
Richard Vernon
Role: Mine Manager at Jamieson Quarry

Rich grew up in the aggregates business with his family having owned and operated various gravel pits during his childhood years. Rich started with Mainland in 2008 at the Cox Station Quarry. He progressed through the ranks at Cox Station, building extensive experience in all aspects of the mining process along the way. In 2014, Rich moved to Mainland’s Jamieson Quarry in the role of Site Foreman, assisting with the installation and commissioning of a new crushing plant at the site. Rich was appointed to the position of Mine Manager at Jamieson Quarry in July of 2016.
