Our Divisions
Mainland Sand & Gravel supplies all sizes and grades of crushed stone, sand, gravel, rip rap, and river sand to construction companies throughout the Lower Mainland and the South West Coast of British Columbia. Mainland operates two rock quarries in Abbotsford and four distribution depots across Metro Vancouver.
Mainland also supplies aggregates to a broad spectrum of the construction industry covering everything from a pickup truck load of sand for a backyard repair to over two and a half million tonnes of aggregate to build the South Fraser Perimeter Road.
Winvan Paving Ltd. is a civil and paving contractor that has served the Lower Mainland of British Columbia for more than 50 years. Originally a division of Commonwealth Construction Company Ltd., Winvan was sold to Capital City Construction Company Ltd. in 1971. Capital City Construction Company changed its name to Winvan Paving Ltd. on September 26 1975. In May 2017, Mainland Construction Materials ULC purchased Winvan.
Annually, Winvan performs approximately 400 jobs and employs 150 people.
Winvan’s operations office is centrally headquartered in New Westminster, along with its asphalt plant, aggregate depot, barge ramp, testing lab, and equipment maintenance and repair shop.
