Jamieson Quarry is located on the south slope of Sumas Mountain north of Highway 1 between the Whatcom Rd and No 3 Rd. exits. Jamieson Quarry is a granite rock quarry manufacturing crushed stone via drilling and blasting solid rock. The site manufactures and supplies various grades of aggregate including rip rap, road bases and clear crushed rock. Finished product is placed in stockpile for sale to customers via dump trucks.

Mainland Sand & Gravel supplies aggregate to Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Ridge Meadows, Langley and Surrey from the Jamieson Quarry,

Truck Access To The Site

  1. Highway 1 eastbound
  2. Take exit 104 toward No. 3 Road
  3. Turn left to take the No. 3 Road West ramp
  4. Turn left onto No. 3 Road and go over Highway 1 to the north
  5. Turn left onto North Parallel Road
  6. North Parallel Road turns to the North and becomes Atkinson Road
  7. Atkinson Road becomes a private dump truck only road
  8. Ensure your CB Radio is on channel 3
  9. At the top of the private road the road becomes Ward Road
  10. 100 metres East of the intersection with Sumas Mountain Road turn North into the Jamieson Quarry main entrance

Truck Egress

  • Follow the reverse directions until the point where Atkinson Road becomes North Parallel Road
  • If heading west, get onto Highway 1 at the end of Atkinson Road
  • If heading east, follow the remainder of the directions back to the No. 3 Road interchange at Highway 1
